A U.S. President Who Hates Americans

(July 9, 2010)   President Barack Obama demonstrates how broken our system is. Just about every officer of a corporation can be fired, if he or she doesn't work out. But when we elect a president of our country, he can literally take our country apart piece by peace time and there seems to be nothing we can do about it. This is an extremely precarious position to be in.

We may have "impeachment" in our legal arsenal, but never did our founders dream that the congress would be so in bed with the president or be so impotent as to render impeachment an impotent procedure.

We need new laws that would give the people the ability to do away with the highest government officials, if necessary. This law might be, for example, holding new presidential elections within a couple weeks if most states call for it.

Without such a new law, we're subject to the whim of one person who might have duped his way into the White House through some devious means. Unlike the days when there was no mass media, when a presidential candidate would have to fool a whole lot of people on a personal level to get the support needed to win an election. In these days of mass media, and in days where a candidate can get an unlimited supply of cash from overseas (illegal) sources, all you need is a good campaign and your in. Are we then stuck with an incompetent, or worse, an American-hating, president for four years? It seems so.

This needs to be corrected. No one should be able to get into the White House and essentially get locked in for four years no matter what he does. In fours years one "manchurian" president can completely destroy our country. It's happening now, and all we're able to do is complain. The people need the power and authority to rid themselves of a president who hates his own country.

The Obama Deception

(June 26, 2010)   It's ironic that Obama should lecture Gen. Stanley McChrystal with words like, he [Obama] "welcomes debate, but not division." How much debate did Obama welcome on his health care bill? People gathered at town hall meetings and marched on Washington for debate. What they got instead was vilification. Obama is the most divisive president in modern history,

Under any other administration, Gen. McChrystal's criticism of the Commander in Chief might have been in poor taste or even insubordination. But under a president who holds the people in contempt, makes a mockery of the constitution and wears deception as a badge of honor, high-profile criticism like McChrystal's was long overdue.

Ironically, Obama's firing McChrystal brought more attention to McChrystal's criticism than Rolling Stone could ever have mustered. It's about time Obama did something right.
